Like anything else, it’s up to you…

There are 2 sides to it, the visual/graphics/design side and the programming side. I do both, but some people mainly do one or the other. If you want to freelance, best to know a few programming languages and be pretty good with photoshop and illustrator.

Personally, I say go for it. I make good money and enjoy what I do.
